Public Health

What is Public Health?
Public health is “the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through the organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, public and private communities, and individuals.” — CEA Winslow
An important aspect of public health is promoting health care equity, quality, and accessibility. BWI focuses on improving the health of an entire population through providing wellness and professional services to people who may not have access to them. Connecting with communities is the first step in gaining a level of trust. We will reach out to organizations and community leaders through deliberate and well planned outreach to broaden participation in vulnerable
populations.
